Ali A. Qureshi, MD
Dr. Ali Qureshi is a Board-Eligible, Fellowship trained Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon in Irvine and Orange County, California. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County, he performs a full range of plastic surgery with a special interest in facial plastic surgery, rhinoplasty and “mommy makeovers.”
Dr. Ali Qureshi completed his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts where he was class Vice-President. He completed his third-year medical training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts where he remained heavily involved in plastic surgery research. He even served as a medical student representative on the Committee on Publications that oversees the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine. His leadership and achievements led him to an appointment in the integrated plastic surgery program at Washington University in St. Louis, one of the most rigorous and competitive training programs in the country. At the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, he learned cutting edge techniques in breast reconstruction and revisions of breast reconstructions. He has authored over 18 first author, peer-reviewed publications and is a Next Generation Editor for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, arguably the premier publication in aesthetic plastic surgery. The son and grandson of breast cancer survivors, he has published extensively on breast cancer reconstruction and quality of life after breast cancer, including topics of sexual distress in survivors. He is also the lead author on breast augmentation and breast lifts in the upcoming edition of the famous Grabbe and Smith Plastic Surgery textbook and the author of two chapters on avoiding complications and problems with combined breast augmentation and breast lifts.
To further his aesthetic plastic surgery and rhinoplasty training, Dr. Qureshi completed one of the top aesthetic surgery fellowships in the country at the USC/Marina Rox Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship. In Marina del Rey, he trained with Dr. W. Grant Stevens (who also did his plastic surgery training at Washington University in St. Louis) who coined the terms “mommy makeover” and “gummy bear implants” learning the state of the art techniques and treatments including combined breast augmentation and breast lifts and “drainless tummy tucks”. In Beverly Hills, he trained with Dr. Jay Calvert and Dr. Andrew Ordon in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty, completing arguably the only rhinoplasty fellowship of its kind in the country for plastic surgeons. He remains a leader in professional societies and is one of just a few plastic surgeons on the Patient Registry and Outcomes for Breast Implants and Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL) Etiology and Epidemiology (PROFILE) Committee looking at the safety of breast implants. He also serves on the Patient Safety Committee, Program Committee, Industry Exhibits Committee and Electronic Communications Committee for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Today, Dr. Ali Qureshi practices a full spectrum of plastic surgery, focusing on aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, as well as rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. He is a warm and friendly individual whose pursuit is excellence and patient safety while taking great pride in his work and patient care. His talents earned him the opportunity to join Dr. Kyle Song in Irvine and Orange County. When he’s not in the operating room, Dr. Ali Qureshi can be found at the gym, spin class or spending time with his friends and family in Orange County.
