Does The Size or Shape of Your Nose Distract From The Rest of Your Facial Features?
Rhinoplasty is a commonly requested procedure by both men and women of all ages. Often referred to as a ‘nose job’, the procedure helps to resize and reshape the contours of your nose bringing an overall balanced facial appearance. A rhinoplasty can be done for both aesthetic and functional purposes to help patients achieve lifelong structural changes and so they can #JustBreatheTM.
Am I a Good Candidate for Rhinoplasty?
The ideal candidate for rhinoplasty surgery is someone who is unhappy with the size, shape, or function of their nose to the point of negatively affecting their self-confidence. Sometimes it’s how the tip of the nose looks and other times a bump on the nose that is bothersome. You may be a good fit for the procedure if you have severe breathing problems that make you snore, keep you from sleeping or make it hard to breathe while exercising.
A rhinoplasty can:
- Reduce the size of the nose
- Smooth a bump on the bridge
- Contour the tip or nostrils
- Realign a deviated septum
- Improve the overall facial appearance
In some cases, you may be better suited for a different type of rhinoplasty. For example, if you’ve experienced a past injury from sports or a car accident, a post-trauma rhinoplasty might be right for you. During your in-person consultation, Dr. Ali Qureshi will customize a treatment plan according to your individual needs.

What Results Can I Expect from Rhinoplasty?*
Most men and women see an immediate improvement to both aesthetics and function after surgery. Many patients will say they have never breathed this well before. As post-surgical swelling gradually subsides, further improvement can be seen. While it can take up to 6 months to 1 year for your new nose to fully heal and swelling to go away, many patients are happy with their early results and see their nose improve day by day.
When done correctly, by a skilled professional, rhinoplasty surgery can produce game-changing results for a lifetime to come.
What is the Recovery Like?*
Dr. Ali comes up with a customized enhanced recovery protocol for each and every patient. You’ll be able to go home the same day of your procedure and with numbing medicine to help the transition home. Some patients choose to stay in an aftercare facility with a private nurse. Dr. Ali does not like to use narcotic pain medication unless absolutely necessary and he will go over your personalized enhanced recovery protocol and pain regimen to helping you get back to your life as smoothly as possible.
Many patients are ready to return to normal day-to-day activities such as work within just one week. Everyone heals differently and different people take different amounts of time to feel their best
